How does it work?
During a teddy bear toss, you’ll see teddy bear’s fly as fans throw as many soft toy’s as they can onto the ballpark. These toys are then collected and donated to The Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Teddy Bear Toss event provides the opportunity to come together as a community and give back to kids in need this holiday season. Bocchetta Plush Toy’s will be available to be purchased at the stadium. This promises to be a fun filled family event like no other!
Please note that second hand toys will not be accepted by the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
WHAT’S THE BIGGEST TEDDY BEAR TOSS ON RECORD?
The soft toy toss concept is gaining momentum worldwide, and has been adopted by many sports, including basketball, soccer, and ice hockey, which holds the world record for the number of stuffed animals tossed onto the ice, a staggering 52,341 soft toys. 2019 saw the Teddy Bear toss movement come to Australia with 1414 Teddy Bears being donated at the Newcastle Jets special event.
